On January 12, 2010, an earthquake hit Haiti and left 1.2 million people homeless. Students at East Austin College Prep Academy wanted to do something to help people in the earthquake-devastated nation of Haiti. Student council came up with the idea of selling chocolate bars, pickles, and frozen pickle juice! I know, frozen pickle juice! It has become an anticipated after school treat for many students. The price is a good deal, it sells for only .25 cents and all other items are only $1.00. The goal is to raise $500.00 before March, so far, we have raised over $400.00!
